My educational background is primarily in Web and Graphic Design but I have interests and experience in a variety of other aspects of design and geekery. My undergrad was a BSc in Multimedia Technology and Design at Brunel University, West London finishing in 2009. During my time their I had various Freelance clients and also spent a year working as the lead creative for a Web Development team also based in West London. While their I was able to work on projects such as the multi Webby award winning FT Alphaville, FT MBA Ranking, The London Paper and The Times “Eat out for £10″ campaign. But education and experience aside, I most enjoy drawing and have an unnatural love for Meccano and Sharpies.
I am English by birth, but I did spend a dollop of my upbringing in New Zealand giving me a love of sport and adventure. However, I am equally happy home-bound surrounded by technology.
Since joining the HighWire Doctoral Training School I have been exploring my interests in mass creativity, democratised design, social networking and most recently physicality. My main point of focus is now how I interlink the whole kit and caboodle. I enjoy the creativity of the hacking culture and in a mischievous way like the thought of de-virtualising today’s digital social connections.
